SUMMARY:From Once Upon a Time to Happily Ever After: Exploring\, crafting\, and telling fairy tales
DESCRIPTION:Three in-person sessions-  Sundays March 3\, 10\, & 17. All sessions 2:00-4:00 pm in the 1762 Hennepin Ave space. $70 for the workshop\, taught by Laura Packer. \nFrom popular culture to YA lit to podcasts\, fairy tales are just about everywhere\, in books\, tv\, and film\, but they evolved as told stories\, passed from teller to teller over generations. Join storyteller and folklorist Laura Packer for a playful and meaningful exploration of fairy tales. Participants will learn the history\, meaning\, and uses of fairy tales\, how to craft one to tell\, how to fracture a fairy tale\, and more. \nTeller Bio: \nLaura Packer is an award-winning storyteller with a degree in folklore from Boston University. She has been crafting and sharing stories of all kinds\, including fairy tales\, for over 30 years. Her program “Becoming Baba Yaga” won Staff Pick in the Minnesota Fringe.
