DESCRIPTION:The longer we live\, the more personal stories we have to tell. This course will focus on the basics of personal narrative storytelling and the process of adapting those personal stories from written to oral form. By the third session\, class participants will have the opportunity to workshop a story in front of the group. No prior performance or creative writing experience necessary. \nFridays\, June 5 to June 26 (3 sessions)\, 12:30-2:00pm \nMore information on the OLLI website \n \nWhen not writing poetry and political essays\, Howard Lieberman spends most of his artistic hours writing and performing personal narrative stories. Ruby has studied with Indigenous shamans from Spain\, Mexico\, West Africa\, Australia\, and North America\, as well as several non-Indigenous shamans from Massachusetts to California. She pioneered the use of marijuana in the Passover seder.
