Beginnings & Endings

A story begins where the teller chooses to start but where is that? And how does that starting moment draw an audience into the world that is the story? While some believe anyplace we want to start will do, the where it ends cannot be left up to happenstance, failure of imagination or bad timing. This is a two-session hands-on workshop on arriving at satisfying beginnings and conclusions from the use of poetic imagery, emotional, philosophical elements to punch lines and morals — to service to the why behind the where and how of starting and ending our stories.
