Mary Jo Pehl is a writer, comedian, and storyteller, best known for “Mystery Science Theater 3000”. In addition to putting on shows in her garage with a variety of guest performers, she hosts a streaming show, The Mary Jo Pehl Show.
She’s been published in Minnesota Monthly, Salon.com, Austin Monthly, and Minneapolis Star Tribune, and her commentaries have been featured on NPR’s All Things Considered. Mary Jo’s memoir about her mother’s love of books, Dumb Dumb Dumb: My Mother’s Book Reviews, was published by Redhawk Publications in 2023.
