A Night of Ghost Stories

Join us in the Badger Hill taproom for some adult ghost stories while you sip a brew or two. Hosted by our talented friends over at Story Arts of Minnesota. Sunday, October 26th – stories start at 7pm

Women’s Voices, Women’s Stories

This is a three-session class for anyone identifying as a woman who wants to develop and share stories by, for, and about what it is to be a woman. Join storyteller and writer Laura Packer in a safe and supportive environment to develop skills to craft and share your stories with clarity, confidence, and artistry.

We’ll work with both personal experiences and traditional/fracture tales, focusing on how to shape them into compelling performances. Each session includes prompts, discussion, supportive feedback, and practice with your peers, helping you discover what makes your voice and stories resonate. You’ll learn about structure, pacing, imagery, and presence—tools that will strengthen your storytelling on and off stage. Whether you’re just beginning or looking to refine your performance, this class offers both practical techniques and a supportive community to help your stories shine.

3 in-person sessions, 7:00-8:30pm, Tuesdays November 11, 18 & December 2, 2025

Poetics of Storytelling with Laura Simms

The Poetics of Storytelling is a luscious hands-on dive into the unique and powerful aspects of engaged storytelling today: the special role of the narrative; the grail of braiding stories; and the nature of storytelling as agency for imagination and compassion.

We will all work with the same story.  You will learn new enriching techniques to uncover how a story means in relationship to audiences; actively braid personal stories into a traditional tale, and work on exercises to strengthen the power of a story.

SOLD OUT! Second show added on November 7 at 7:00pm!

Stage veteran Ari Hoptman explores those random language mysteries that occupy our minds while we’re trying to fall asleep at night or are stuck in team leadership meetings. See Ari talk about what a lot of smart folks figured out a while back.

Teller bio: Ari Hoptman is an actor and playwright who has been performing since his hair was black. He has done shows at Park Square, The Southern, Theater in the Round, Theater Garage, and that one place that used to be across from that church. He has also written several one-person comedy shows.
